Aluminium 5005 Wires mainly consist of aluminium (Al) with magnesium (Mg 0.5–1.1%) as the primary alloying element, along with small amounts of silicon (Si ≤0.3%), iron (Fe ≤0.7%), manganese (Mn ≤0.2%), and chromium (Cr ≤0.1%). This alloy, which isn’t heat-treatable, offers moderate strength, with tensile strength varying between 170–230 MPa depending on the temper.
